"Exile From Venus" by E. Hoffmann Price is a science fiction adventure where Craig Verrill, a Venusian, journeys to a radioactive and dangerous Earth to find the Fire of Skanderbek ruby, driven by a hasty promise. He finds himself caught between two worlds: the structured Venusian society and the wild tribes of Earth. As Verrill tries to adapt and interact with the primitive Terrestrians, a disagreement over the ruby plunges him into heroic escapades. Verrill earns the respect of a tribe leader, Ardelan, by saving a child while also finding himself growing fond of a Terrestrian woman named Falana. His mission gets more complicated because of this affection, leading to clash with his old foe, Gil Dawson. In the end, Verrill chooses to abandon his past life and embrace his destiny among the Terrestrians, undergoing a huge shift in his character.
