Gudrun

"Gudrun" by Ferdinand Schmidt is a medieval epic poem, where a king’s beautiful daughter, wanted by many, finds herself at the heart of clashing desires and dangerous circumstances. Gudrun, alongside her brother and father, must manage a series of pushy suitors, including Hartmut and Herwig, whose rivalries ignite conflict and betrayal. A twist of fate leads to Gudrun being captured during war, which paves the way for a journey filled with heartbreak and heroism, and tests the strength of loyalty and the resilience of love.
