The Camp Fire Girls at Long Lake; Or, Bessie King in Summer Camp

"The Camp Fire Girls at Long Lake; Or, Bessie King in Summer Camp" by Jane L. Stewart is a youthful adventure where the Camp Fire Girls, especially Bessie King and her pals, spend their summer participating in camp activities and facing challenges at Long Lake. It’s a tale of camaraderie, cooperation, and the delights of nature, kicking off with Dolly Ransom and Zara working on a farm and joking around with Walter Stubbs before heading to camp. But fun in the sun turns complicated when Dolly gets jealous, friendships are tested, and a run-in with a gypsy puts everyone on edge, teaching the girls about adventure, managing insecurities, and staying alert in the great outdoors.
