"Buffalo Bill Entrapped; or, A Close Call" by Colonel Prentiss Ingraham is an adventure story about the famous scout Buffalo Bill facing danger in the American West. When hunter Bart Angell hears gunshots, he finds Buffalo Bill hurt from an attack where his friend Matt Holmes was murdered and his cabin burned down. Together, they try to solve the mystery, discovering a deeper plot with a bad guy named Rixton Holmes and a kidnapped young woman, Myra Wilton. The story is all about bravery as Buffalo Bill and Angell fight to find the truth and protect Myra from harm.
