Carnac's Folly, Complete

"Carnac's Folly, Complete" by Gilbert Parker is a story set in Canada about a lumber king's son, Carnac Grier, and his journey through life, love, and finding his place in the world. The story begins with a look back at Carnac's carefree childhood adventures with his friend Junia. Along the way, we meet Denzil, who offers Carnac guidance. As Carnac grows up, the book hints at bigger ideas, like growing up and figuring out who you are, and the troubles that come when your family wants one thing for you, but you want something else. We see Carnac's early days, playing in the woods and the start of his relationships with his father and Junia and are introduced to the ideas of finding yourself and what you want to do with your life.
