Summary

"Real Gold: A Story of Adventure" by George Manville Fenn is a thrilling tale from the late 1800s that follows two boys, Cyril Norton and Perry Campion, as they venture into the exotic and risky landscapes of the South American Andes. Friendship and courage serve as the North Star for their quest as they chase after hidden treasure. The beginning shows Cyril and Perry, fishing buddies who dream of wild adventures while half a mile out at sea. When Perry mentions his father's upcoming treasure hunt, Cyril gets excited about the mythic treasures of the mountains and those treasures of the Incas. As their talk goes on, we begin to sense the coming danger around treasure-seeking that promises a journey full of adventure.
