A Topsy-Turvy Christmas

"A Topsy-Turvy Christmas" by Elizabeth F. Guptill is a lighthearted play for children that whisks the audience away to the topsy-turvy world and explores a child's desire for freedom and unconventional Christmas experiences. The narrative centers on siblings Frank and Alice, who, wearied by grown-up rules, embark on a magical journey guided by a fairy. They find themselves in Topsy Turvy Land, a realm where the expected order of things is comically flipped, where parents behave like children, and where the very spirit of Christmas is turned on its head. Throughout their adventures and hilarious encounters with Clanty Sauce and the land's other unconventional residents. As they navigate this whimsical chaos, the children gain a new appreciation for their own lives and the structure they once resented, leading them back home grateful for their family and a traditional celebration.
