Elsie's children

"Elsie's Children" by Martha Finley is a late 19th-century family story that picks up where "Elsie's Motherhood" left off, following Elsie's journey as a mother and focusing on love, family relationships, and how to raise children with good morals. The story opens at Viamede, where Elsie's children are full of excitement while waiting for their mother, but their play quickly changes when Mammy arrives with a new baby. While the children are happy and curious about the infant, they realize Elsie is sick, causing concern; their father tries to reassure them that everything will be alright.
