Summary

"The de Bercy Affair" by Louis Tracy is a thrilling mystery set in the early 1900s, where Chief Inspector Winter and Inspector Clarke find themselves entangled in the perplexing murder of Mademoiselle de Bercy, a celebrated French actress, with early suspicion falling on her American millionaire lover, Rupert Osborne. As the hunt for answers begins, complicated by a missing police inspector and a mysterious stone tool found at the scene, the investigation pulls back the curtain on a complicated and potentially political crime. Clues emerge to suggest the murder may be related to a group of Anarchists on the loose.
