Summary

"Tales of the Long Bow" by G.K. Chesterton is a set of strange stories that look at how weird people can be and probably takes place a long time ago. One of the stories starts with Colonel Crane, who everyone thinks is a normal military guy, doing something super strange. He decides to wear a cabbage on his head to church which shocks everyone around him. This stunt is interesting because it makes the audience think about the characters' identities and how the characters express themselves. A young lady, Audrey Smith, wonders about the Colonel’s actions which gets the audience to think about personal identity, how we should act in society, and how it feels to break what is expected of us. Overall, the stories have a funny tone, but are also deeply provoking.
