"Blacky the Crow" by Thornton W. Burgess is a story set in the Green Forest and it tells about Blacky, who is a smart but troublesome crow, his curiosity leads him to an old nest where he finds white eggs. He wants the eggs, but Hooty the Owl lives there and becomes a challenge. Blacky faces dangers and learns about nature and his actions. He also learns about friendship, understanding what's right and wrong, and how to act in the environment where he lives.
