Summary

"Round the Fire Stories" by Arthur Conan Doyle is a collection of tales designed to be shared in the darkness of night. These stories touch upon a range of mysterious occurrences, weaving together both peculiar and chilling events from multiple aspects of occult experiences. The collection starts with the strange character Lionel Dacre, a rich man living in Paris who loves to collect occult literature. When someone visits Dacre's home, there's an examination of a leather funnel that has a strange dark past of torture. Dacre then suggests an experiment with the funnel where it will connect with dreams. The story builds suspense and the intent to discover the object's history.
