"Rollo in Holland" by Jacob Abbott is a story about a kid named Rollo, who takes an exciting trip to Holland with his Uncle George. Through Rollo's eyes, we get to discover all sorts of cool things about Dutch life, like their traditions and beautiful land. At first, Rollo is stuck at Morley's Hotel in London, trying to figure out if he should go to Holland when it's cold or warm. He thinks it would be awesome to skate on the canals, but he also wants to see all the pretty sights and windmills without ice blocking the way. As Rollo gets ready with his mom and uncle, he gets more and more pumped for the trip, which makes the story funny and interesting and hints there is a fun adventure coming up as Rollo heads off to Holland.
