Summary

"Comrades of the Saddle; Or, The Young Rough Riders of the Plains" by Frank V. Webster is an action-packed story about two brothers who trade their Ohio home for a summer of adventure on a New Mexico ranch. Tom and Larry Alden can't wait to become real cowboys, facing wild animals and learning to live off the land. When a hungry wolf threatens them on their way home from a ball game, their bravery shines as they escape with the help of their father and a hired hand. Instead of the planned trip to Scotland because of an inheritance, these boys are heading to a ranch where they'll experience exciting escapades, form strong friendships, and discover their true strength amidst the dangers and excitement of the plains.
