Summary

"Attila: A Romance. Vol. II." by G. P. R. James is a historical romance where the darkhearted Attila the Hun navigates a world of kings and Romans, kinship, and honor in a quest for revenge. The story's opening shines light on Attila's cunning as he unravels a plot against his allies, suspecting his brother Bleda's betrayal when a freedman is killed. This sets off a powder keg of rising tensions, where Attila's thirst for vengeance clashes with his duties and blood ties. Against the backdrop of looming war, Attila's cunning and authority come to light as he struggles to balance personal vendettas with the demands of his crown, as well as the future of a young Roman named Theodore.
