Summary

"Jim Davis" by John Masefield is a story that follows Jim Davis, a boy in 19th-century England, as he deals with the ups and downs of being a kid. After losing his parents, Jim moves in with his aunt and uncle, and we get to see the world through his eyes. His trip to Devon is full of excitement, sailors, and stories about pirates and hidden riches that fire up his imagination. This sets the stage for Jim's adventures and shows us the importance of loss, wanting something more, and finding friendship.
