Summary

"Steve Yeager" by William MacLeod Raine is a story set in the early 1900's about a young cowboy named Steve Yeager, whose life takes an unexpected turn. After losing his job because the cattle business is shrinking, he finds himself penniless during uncertain times, but remains optimistic. While riding, he accidentally stumbles upon a movie set and quickly gets mixed up in a fight he thinks is real, showing he is ready to stand up for what he thinks is right. This event pulls him into the world of making movies, where he not only discovers a new path for himself, but also finds himself dealing with a mysterious conflict with a man named Chad Harrison. The story kicks off a journey full of adventure where Steve grows and changes as he adapts to the shifting times of the American West.
