Curious Creatures in Zoology

"Curious Creatures in Zoology" by John Ashton is a journey back in time to explore strange and amazing stories about animals and mythical beings. The book is a collection of exciting tales from the late 1800s that mixes natural history with folklore. It looks at weird animals and creatures, using old stories and pictures to pull in the reader. The introduction thinks about how people used to see animals and the natural world, kicking off a trip into curious animals, like the Kraken and mermaids, and strange sightings of hairy men and giants that only have one eye. The author points out how different old beliefs are from what we know now, and this makes the book both thoughtful and curious about these bizarre creatures.
