"Motor Matt Makes Good; or, Another Victory for the Motor Boys" by Stanley R. Matthews is an action-packed adventure where young Motor Matt King and his buddies, Dick Ferral and Carl Pretzel, find themselves in deep water – literally. Cruising the Chilian coast in their submarine, the "Grampus," they stumble upon a strange glowing object, kicking off a series of dangerous events. Suspicion of their enemies, the shadowy Sons of the Rising Sun, quickly turns to reality when Matt is attacked and thrown overboard, barely escaping by holding onto a torpedo. As the adventure unfolds, the stakes rise when they discover that their foes have also acquired a submarine, setting the stage for a high-stakes undersea battle filled with suspense, mischief, and outright warfare, all while highlighting the boys' courage and cleverness in the face of danger.
