Summary

"Second String" by Anthony Hope is a book set in the English town of Meriton. Andy Hayes comes back to his hometown after a long time away and gets back in touch with Jack Rock and other people. Andy has a lot of feelings as he thinks about his family and friends. He feels both like he remembers them and like he's not part of their lives anymore. As the story unfolds, we see that characters are dealing with who they are and what they want. It looks like there will be some drama, love, and some thoughts about how society works as things go on.
